“My inspiration for getting into the wine industry was simple. I had 30 years of financial experience and wanted to become a senior financial executive in the California wine country. Unable to do that because I didn’t have any winery experience, I ended up buying a small one instead….

That was the driving force behind the purchasing of Stover Oaks Vineyard & Winery in the Sierra Foothills back in 2004. Seventeen years later, I still own the brand but not the vineyard and wine making facilities. By the way, one year later after buying Stover Oaks, now with a little experience, I became Chief Financial Officer and General Manager of a Sonoma County winery. It has been a fantastic ride along the way working in this great industry and meeting some very special people who friendships I will value forever.”
