The Food Network recently crowned Miss Ollie’s fried chicken as the best of California, located at 901 Washington Street, Old Oakland near Jack London Square.
Fern Stroud, founder of Black Vines nearly a decade ago, is a Silicon Valley technology professional. She established Stroud Management Enterprise to focus attention on the need to bridge the gap between technology and community through music, food and wine, benefitting nonprofit organizations and small businesses. Stroud further explains, “We couldn’t be happier to raise a toast to Miss Ollie’s for this esteemed accomplishment. The Black Vines platform was created to salute Black excellence, as well, to bring the Oakland community together in a positive, uplifting setting to envision our future."
